USB-C video
For one-cable video, the USB-C port on your device must support DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt video output. A charging-only USB-C port will not send a picture.

Most compatibility questions come down to the video output available on your source device and whether separate power is needed.
HDMI connection
Use HDMI or Mini HDMI with compatible laptops, desktop computers and other video sources. Connect USB-C power separately when the monitor or source device requires it.
Phones and tablets
Only devices with wired video output are supported. Compatibility varies by model; selected Samsung DeX and Huawei devices can connect when their port supports video.
Before you order
Check these three details.
Find your exact device model.
Use the model name from your laptop, phone, tablet or console rather than relying only on the connector shape.
Confirm video output.
Check the device manual for DisplayPort Alt Mode, Thunderbolt video output or HDMI output.
Plan the power connection.
Some setups need a separate USB-C power connection in addition to the video cable.
Touchscreen models
Touch needs a data connection too.
Touch is available on selected monitor models. In addition to video, touch behavior depends on the operating system and may require a separate USB data connection.
